Dijon Vinaigrette

Dijon Vinaigrette

We always use Fran’s Vinaigrette as our house salad dressing, but I decided to switch things up this week and made this easy dijon vinaigrette recipe. I loved the tangy flavors of the vinegar, lemon, and mustard with the spicy garlic and sweet agave. It was nice to change from our usual salad dressing, and it tasted great on our simple dinner salad.

Dijon Vinaigrette

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1-2 tsp agave or honey, to taste
  • 1-2 tsp fresh lemon juice, to taste
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 3 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil

Dijon Vinaigrette

How to Make a Dijon Vinaigrette

Combine the red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, agave, lemon juice, and minced garlic in a bowl. Season with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste.

Whisk well; slowly drizzle in olive oil while whisking until well combined. Set aside for flavors to mingle.

Whisk well before drizzling on your salad. Enjoy.

Side Note: My family loves a very tangy vinaigrette. If you prefer a more subtle flavor, increase the olive oil/vegetable oil, to taste.
