Sheet Pan Egg-in-a-Hole with Bacon

This easy sheet pan egg-in-a-hole with bacon recipe is a classic breakfast made even easier by making several servings at once. I’m so glad I found this recipe on Damn Delicious because I will never again make these little beauties one at a time on the stovetop. My family loves bacon, eggs, and toast, so egg-in-a-hole is always a big hit with my entire family. I surprised them with this tasty breakfast, and we all thought it was delicious, and it paired well with some crispy hash browns.
Sheet Pan Egg-in-a-Hole with Bacon
Ingredients:
- 8Â slices of bacon
- 4 slices of bread, ½-inch thick
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4Â eggs
- Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste
- Fresh chives, chopped
How to Make Sheet Pan Egg-in-a-Hole with Bacon
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Place the bacon on a baking sheet in a single layer. Place into the oven and bake until par-cooked, about 6-7 minutes. Transfer the bacon to some paper towels. Side Note: You can also par-cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat if preferred.Â
Coat the baking sheet with cooking spray if needed.
Butter one side of each slice of bread, then use a 3-inch biscuit cutter to make a hole in the center of each bread slice. Place the bread butter side down on the baking sheet along with the buttered circles.
Add two bacon slices to each slice of bread, then gently crack an egg into each hole.
Place it in the oven and bake until the egg whites have set, about 10-12 minutes, turning the baking sheet halfway through baking.
Remove from the oven and top with freshly chopped chives, season with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste. Serve immediately! Enjoy.

They look super duper delicious and tempting with lots of bacon :-))
Looks perfect!! Thanks for sharing.
I’ve never had this but need to give it a try. Reminds me of a Frasier episode where he recalls this being his dad’s specialty when Frasier was a kid.
Such a fun recipe — easy, flavorful, satisfying. And fun! Really creative — thanks.
A very special breakfast.
Fun breakfast! I need to try this for Remy sans bacon…I wonder if I could actually get her to eat eggs this way.
I had a girlfriend who used to make this for my daughter whenever she would do a sleepover.
