Baked Brie en Croute (with Honey, Candied Pecans and Cranberries)

I wanted to try this baked brie en croute (with honey, candied pecans, and cranberries) when I saw the recipe on Olivia’s Cuisine. The recipe was fun and easy to make, and tasted fantastic! The baked brie en croute paired nicely with two different types of crackers and green apple slices. I served this delicious baked brie recipe for a family dinner, and it paired well with a roasted chicken, Duchess potatoes, autumn salad, and dinner rolls.

- 1Â sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed but still VERY COLD
- 1Â wheel of brie
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup dried cranberries
- ¼ cup candied pecans, roughly chopped
- 1Â egg, whisked very well
How to Make Baked Brie en Croute (with Honey, Candied Pecans and Cranberries)
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Drizzle the honey in the center of the puff pastry (where the brie will go).
Sprinkle the honey with the dried cranberries and candied pecans.
Place the brie wheel directly on top of the honey, cranberries, and pecans.

Gather the puff pastry dough edges and wrap the brie wheel, gathering at the top, and pressing it shut with your fingers.
Flip the brie over and place it honey, cranberry, and pecan side up.
Brush the entire pastry with the whisked egg.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes.
Serve with crackers and apple slices. Enjoy!

That looks very French and very tasty, yum yum. Have a good day, Diane
This appetizer looks delicious and it is perfect for the holidays.
I make a baked brie every holiday but usually just stuff it with raspberry jam. This filling sounds way better!
my mouth is watering! this is one of my favorite party treats. 🙂
This looks delicious, what size Brie wheel do you use?
Myra,
I used a 12.3 oz brie round for this recipe but you could probably use one that is a little bigger if you want.
