Have you ever had…
… a complete baking failure? Well, I did today. I tried creating and baking some cookies today that turned out to be a TOTAL flop! I was really excited about these cookies and now I am just filled with disappointment. Oh well, it happens to all of us, right?
Since the recipe I was going to share with you ended up in the garbage, I decided to feature some of my favorite breakfast recipes for you to enjoy this weekend. Cheers!
Bacon, Egg, and Sharp Cheddar Bagel Sandwich
Poached Eggs with Roasted Tomatoes & Mushrooms and Parmesan
Peasant Omelet with Mushrooms, Bacon, and Cheddar
Banana, Raspberry, and White Chocolate Bread
Banana, Coconut, Pineapple Muffins
German Pancake with Lemon and Raspberries
Don’t worry, Pam. We all have baking failures. One time, I had a baking failure every day for a week. I’m not sure what was going on but each time I made something, it was an utter disaster!
Absolutely! I once tried to make a jack-o-lantern cake for my boyfriend in college,
and it was a complete failure! I cried. Next time!
Just wanted to let you know that your photos in this post are GORGEOUS! I had a failure this week too! After many attempts, I’ve come to the conclusion that I just don’t like ANY recipe for overnight french toast. It’s always soggy & gross! I would love to have a plate of your Neapolitan pancakes right now! 🙂
I love the choices you have given us.These all look wonderful and I’m sure they are delicious. I hope you have a geat day. Blessings…Mary
Great breakfast options! Thanks for the ideas – have a great weekend, too 🙂
Lots of wonderfulness there! Thanks for sharing all those. Have a great day
Don’t be too dissapointed, Pam- baking failures happen to all of us every once in a while! I love it when you remind us of all of the wonderful recipes you have posted in the past!
Even though I just finished eating breakfast, this post got my taste buds active all over again!
I bet almost everyone that reads your blog has had some sort of baking or cooking disaster… I know I have had many of them. Heck, just last night I threw together a sauce that i thought would be killer.. turned out tasting so bitter I had to throw it out. And you know me and my sauces!!!
Sorry for the bomb, but hey, we get to see some amazing breakfast ideas, so we’re all good 🙂
I made your jalepeno sausage breakfast braid for me and my boyfriend last weekend and we both basically died while eating it. It was SOOOO good. Like, seriously good. I would love to make that breakfast braid every Sunday for the rest of my life! 🙂

All of these breakfasts look so fabulous, Pam! We’re all about breakfast in this house so I’m always collecting delicious ideas. Also – you can bet I’ve had countless baking failures before, but at least I know how to COOK! 😉 Have a nice weekend!
Hi Pam! Yes, I totally had that kind of day on Wednesday. I planned to bake my daughter’s school birthday treat and it flopped. I wasted 4 hours of my morning baking and making a mess of my kitchen. I had originally wanted to buy her a treat to bring in to school and I suggested it to her, but she wanted me to make something homemade because her friends love my treats. Well, I caved and I should of listened to my inner guidance because obvisously I was not supposed to be baking that day. I ended up buying these adorable mini cupcakes from our favorite bakery and calling it a day. The kids loved them, as I knew they would. I am now going to listen to my inner self and if I don’t feel like baking or cooking on a particular day, then I won’t, because it won’t turn out good anyway. I t’s always nice to hear that everyone has off days in the kitchen. Cooking is like art, you have your amazing projects and dishes and then you have the ones that just don’t turn out! More often though your dishes turn out great, right? We have to focus on the successes not the failures!
Have a great weekend!
YES! I can never quit decide what’s worse when I throw out a fresh batch of something – throwing away food or my squashed excitement? But, some of my favorite ideas have come out of kitchen disasters, so perhaps that’s what they’re there for. Your breakfast line up looks fantastic. Looks like you don’t need those cookies anyways.
These all look wonderful and delicious!!!! Have a nice weekend
I could never make up my mind about which one of your great dishes for breakfast. They all look great. That omelet and the muffins are over the top goodness!!!
Everything looks so good, I think I gained weight just looking!
We all things that don’t turn out, I guess that is just part of life. I love the choices that you put on your post for the day, everything looks so yummy.
I screw up divinity just about every year at Christmas and throw it out–but I try again, and again, and again. Isn’t that a sign of being crazy? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? But sometimes it works and the divinity is divine.
Sorry about the flop, Pam. I hate it when that happens. Now you have made me hungry for eggs benedict.
OMG!! These pictures just made me salivate so much!!!!!
Cheers,
Lia.
oh yeah, i’ve had many flops in the baking department, which is partly why i let my husband do the baking!

I love that BAGEL SANDWICH!!! (Sorry for shouting out loud 😉

I am so glad I’m not the only that sometimes has baking (and cooking) failures. I guess that’s how we learn- or at least, that’s what my mom would say.

Me? Fail? Nah never 🙂 Okay, maybe once or twenty times.
Who hasn’t experienced a baking failure? Sad, but true. Those breakfast recipes look delish though, especially the runny yolks! Yum.
