Tomato and Basil Sandwich with a Twist

Tomato and Basil Sandwich with a Twist

This tomato and basil sandwich with a twist takes minutes to make and tastes delicious. I love the combination of the crisp seeded bagel thin topped with creamy cheese, flavorful basil, and soft tomato. Seasoning the top of the sandwich halves with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper is an important step that makes the sandwich extra delicious. I am looking forward to having this for lunch again tomorrow.

  1. I loved this. I wanted to wait for summer tomatoes but couldn’t wait. I suggest to chiffonade the basil. Otherwise the whole leave comes off when you bite in.

  2. This was fantastic! A new staple in my household! I used a sprouted bagel, Tofutti garlic & herb creme cheese (instead of the recommended cheese) and fresh basil & tomato from my garden here in Florida. So Wonderful!!!! This would be fantastic any time of the day!

  3. I’ve wanted to try laughing cow products for some time, however, I am concerned about hormones and steroids in their products. I’ve actually just sent them an email asking about that. Do you know if they use those things in their products? I’m betting I’ll get a faster answer from you! LOL! Love your blog! Love your recipes! Keep up the fabulous work!! 🙂 – k
