French Toast

I made this easy French toast recipe as a special breakfast for my daughter before her kindergarten orientation at her new school. I can’t believe she will be starting school this fall–time flies! She loved her tasty French toast and thought it was delicious with sausage, but we usually have it with some twisted bacon and crispy hash browns.
French Toast:
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp butter
- 3 eggs, beaten thoroughly
- ¼ tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp milk
- 6 slices (or more) of bread
For Serving:
- Butter
- Powdered sugar
- Maple syrup
- Fresh fruit
How to Make French Toast
Heat the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
Whisk together the eggs, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon & milk until thoroughly combined.
Dip each slice of bread (on both sides) into the egg mixture, then place it directly into the hot skillet. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Serve with butter, sprinkled with powdered sugar, and maple syrup.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
