French Toast

French Toast

I made this easy French toast recipe as a special breakfast for my daughter because we had kindergarten orientation at her new school. I can’t believe she will be starting school this fall–time flies!!

French Toast:

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 eggs, beaten thoroughly
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
  • 6 slices (or more) of bread

For Serving:

  • Butter
  • Powdered sugar
  • Maple syrup
  • Fresh fruit

How to Make French Toast

Heat the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.

Whisk together the eggs, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon & milk until thoroughly combined.

Dip each slice of bread (on both sides) into the egg mixture then place it directly into the hot skillet. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown.

Serve with butter, sprinkled powder sugar, and maple syrup. I served with fresh fruit & turkey sausage. Enjoy.
