Green Beans with Almond Slivers

Simple. Quick. Delicious. This easy green beans with almond slivers recipe is a delicious, healthy side dish. I loved the crunch and flavor of the toasted almonds, and so did my kids. I served this easy green bean side dish recipe with the chicken, mushrooms, & orzo and my house salad.

Green Beans with Almond Slivers

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp almond slivers, toasted
  • ½ lb. fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 1tbsp butter
  • Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste

How to Make Green Beans with Almond Slivers:

Toast the almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

Boil some water over high heat in a large saucepan, add the green beans to the boiling water and cook for 3-4 minutes or until cooked but still a bit crisp. Drain well.

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the green beans then toss with almond slivers. Season with sea salt, and freshly cracked pepper to taste, and cook, stirring often, until the green beans are tender, about 2 minutes.

Serve and enjoy.
