Roasted Asparagus with Prosciutto

Roasted Asparagus with Prosciutto

This happens to be my new favorite appetizer and I will be making it often. I liked how quick and easy this recipe was to make. I loved the salty pork with the roasted asparagus – the combination was perfect. We all thought it was a really delicious dish. This roasted asparagus makes an amazing appetizer but I think it would also be great as a side dish, especially for a holiday dinner.

Roasted Asparagus and Prosciutto:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of asparagus, wooden ends removed
  • Prosciutto, sliced into thirds, lengthwise
  • Olive oil
  • Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste

How to Make Roasted Asparagus with Prosciutto

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Coat a baking sheet with tinfoil (for easier cleanup) then coat with cooking spray.

Place the asparagus onto the baking sheet and drizzle with a bit of olive oil then season with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste then toss to coat evenly.

Slice the prosciutto into thirds, lengthwise. Wrap each third of the prosciutto around the center of each asparagus spear.
