Sesame-Soy Green Bean Sauté

I wanted a light and healthy green bean side dish to pair with the baked honey garlic chicken and garlic rice I served for dinner. This easy Asian side dish was simple, quick, and tasty–my kind of recipe.

Sesame-Soy Green Bean Sauté

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • ½ lb green beans ends trimmed
  • Dash of crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Toasted sesame seeds, to taste

How to Make a Sesame-Soy Green Bean Sauté

Heat the toasted sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the green beans, crushed red pepper flakes, and freshly cracked black pepper to taste. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 4-5 minutes or until crisp-tender and vibrant green.

Add the minced garlic, and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.

Add the soy sauce and butter, and stir evenly, coating the green beans.

Sprinkle the tops with toasted sesame seeds. Serve & enjoy.
