Margherita Pita Pizza
My kids were hungry for a snack this weekend, so I went in search of ingredients to throw together. I had some pita bread, olive oil, cheese, tomatoes, and basil, so I made a pita pizza and baked it until crispy. This healthy and tasty Margherita pita pizza took less than 15 minutes to put together and bake. My kids devoured it in minutes and loved every single bite.
How to Make a Margherita Pita Pizza
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Drizzle a bit of olive oil on the pita bread and spread it around evenly. Season with a bit of sea salt, freshly cracked pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes, to taste. Sprinkle a bit of parmesan on top of the pita followed by a bit of mozzarella, then place the tomato slices on top.
Place the pita pizza into the oven and bake for 7-8 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil; slice. Serve with grated parmesan on the side. Enjoy.
I love to use flatbread to make pizza too. This looks great!
My favorite pizza. Looks yummy.
I love snacks that come together like this
even though i could top this with any number of ingredients, i’m pretty sure i’d use exactly what you did!
