Garlic Parmesan Wings
These delicious garlic parmesan wings are juicy and tender on the inside with a crispy cheesy crust on the outside.
My daughter has been sick with a cold so I decided to make two of her favorite comfort foods, chicken wings and macaroni and cheese. I decided to switch it up a bit and make half spicy wings and half garlic parmesan wings. We loved the crispy cheesy coating on these flavorful baked parmesan crusted chicken wings and thought they were delicious on their own as well as dipped in some warmed up marinara sauce.
Garlic Parmesan Wings
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup fresh parmesan cheese, finely grated (don’t use shredded cheese!)
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
Serving:
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Parmesan, freshly grated
- Marinara sauce, for dipping
Make them Extra Special (Optional):
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 small clove of garlic, finely minced
- 1 tsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
How to Make Garlic Parmesan Wings
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Drizzle the oil on the baking sheet and spread it evenly over its surface.
In a shallow bowl, combine the finely grated parmesan, flour, garlic powder, parsley, sea salt, and freshly cracked pepper, to taste; mix very well.
In a separate bowl, mix the chicken wings with the mayonnaise until the wings are evenly coated.
Dredge both sides of each wing in the parmesan mixture then place skin side UP on the prepared baking sheet without crowding them too much. Repeat with the remaining wings.
Bake the wings by placing them into the oven to bake undisturbed for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, carefully flip the wings over using a thin spatula and continue to bake for another 15 minutes.
To serve as is, remove from the oven and place onto a serving plate. Sprinkle them with fresh parsley and serve with fresh parmesan and marinara sauce, on the side.
To make them extra special, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and fresh parsley together in a large bowl. Add the wings and toss to coat evenly. Serve with fresh parmesan and marinara sauce, if desired.

Angie,
Yes, not sure how it happened. Thankfully, I figured out how to enable it again.
