Pineapple Salsa

Pineapple Salsa

I picked up a fresh pineapple at the store and decided to make a pineapple salsa to serve with some pork tacos I was making for dinner, but it would also be wonderful served on top of chicken, fish, or pork as well.

Pineapple Salsa:

Ingredients:

  • 1 small pineapple, cored and diced (see instructions here)
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped finely
  • 1 tbsp red onion, diced finely
  • 1 small jalapeño, seeded and diced finely
  • 1 green onion, chopped finely
  • Zest and juice of 1/2 lime
  • Dash of sugar
  • Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste

How to Make Pineapple Salsa

Dice the pineapple and vegetables. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and stir until well combined.

Set aside on the counter for an hour or so to let the flavors combine. Enjoy.

  1. Just made this for a 4th of July BBQ – it was fantastic! This will definitely be a repeat appetizer in our home.

  2. I had pineapple salsa that I got last month in Amish Country and I wished I’d bought more. It was my absolute favorite. I can’t wait to try to make yours. Sounds like an easy recipe. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Nelda,

I have never tried freezing or canning it so I am not sure. If you do go ahead and do either – please let me know how it turns out!

      Thanks,
      Pam

  3. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is needed to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100% certain. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Appreciate it
