Quick & Easy Homemade Microwave Popcorn
This quick & easy homemade microwave popcorn worked so well & it was so easy, that I had to share it with you. I made sure to use a large tempered glass bowl and a tempered glass plate… make sure you use microwave-friendly utensils! I melted a bit of butter in the bottom of the bowl then added the corn kernels and coated them evenly before cooking it in the microwave. It turned out perfect! My kids loved the strawberry milk and popcorn I made for their movie time and I loved that their popcorn had no chemicals and took less than 5 minutes to make!
How to Make Quick & Easy Homemade Microwave Popcorn
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 tbsp corn kernels
- Sea salt, to taste
Add the butter to a large microwave-safe glass bowl. Place into the microwave and cook for 20-25 seconds, until melted.
Add the popcorn kernels and coat them evenly in the butter. Place a microwave-safe lid or plate over the bowl and place it into the microwave. Cook for 3 minutes to 3 minutes & 30 seconds, or until the popping slows down to about 4 seconds between each pop, being very careful not to over-cook the popcorn. Side Note: My popcorn took 3 minutes.
Season with sea salt and more melted butter if desired. Serve immediately. Enjoy.

Brilliant! I think I need to lay in some of this popcorn to help keep people “in snacks” for the wedding festivities, which are now scheduled to start 2 days before the wedding….
