Spicy Chicken Breasts
I made this easy spicy chicken breasts recipe to use in my healthy lunches this week. After seasoning, I cooked them simply in my skillet on the stovetop and only used cooking spray to keep them healthier but you can use olive oil instead if you prefer. These spicy chicken breasts smelled terrific while they were cooked and tasted great!
Spicy Chicken Breasts
Ingredients:
- 3/4 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Olive oil cooking spray
How to Make Spicy Chicken Breasts
Combine all the seasonings in a bowl; mix until well combined.
Season the chicken breasts evenly with the seasonings.
Heat the large cast iron skillet that’s been coated with cooking spray over medium heat (feel free to use some olive oil instead if you prefer).
Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 7-8 minutes or until golden brown.
Flip the chicken over and continue cooking for 6-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for 5-7 minutes before slicing. Enjoy.
