Kalamata Olive Garlic Bread
I wanted to make a loaf of garlic bread to serve alongside the Whole Wheat Spaghetti with Slow Simmered Meat Sauce and the Avocado and Butter Leaf Lettuce Salad with a Tangy Mustard Vinaigrette. Instead of using a regular loaf of French bread, I decided to switch it up a bit by using a loaf of kalamata olive bread. I cut the bread in half lengthwise then spread some garlic and parmesan butter over the top of each half before baking it. This garlic bread turned out FANTASTIC! It took all of my willpower to only eat one slice.
How to Make Kalamata Olive Garlic Bread
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking dish with tin foil for easier clean-up.
Combine the butter, garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and sea salt, and freshly cracked pepper, to taste together in a bowl; mix until evenly combined.
Slice the loaf of bread lengthwise in half. Equally spread the butter mixture over each half of the loaf.
Place the bread onto the baking sheet then loosely cover the top of the bread with a piece of tin foil. Bake for 15 minutes; remove the tin foil and turn the oven to broil. Cook the bread, watching VERY carefully, so it doesn’t burn. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve immediately. Enjoy!

What a great idea using the Kalamata bread. I can’t believe you had enough self-control to stop at 1 slice. I would’ve eaten the whole shebang!

It looks heavenly!Greetings from Greece,dear!
One thing I just love about my new stoves is that the temperature on the broiler is variable. It would make this recipe so much easier to not burn! This looks like a wonderful spread for bread.
what nice bread Pam, I was thinking in make some bread for night!
I have to admit, sometimes when we make a meal with garlic bread, I’ll hover around the cutting board eating just the bread. Of course garlic bread tastes best at 1am while everyone else is asleep and you are stealing the last two leftover pieces.
I would really have to just eat this for dinner. I mean, it would be an accident…but it would SO happen.
I love garlic bread. Your garlic bread looks fantastic.
I want to come to your house for dinner soooo bad.
Oooh, this sounds wonderful! I LOVE kalamata olives & pairing them with garlic can only make them 10x better. I can’t believe you were able to stop at only one slice. 🙂
